Donation Questions FAQs

Unfortunately, Caritas of Austin does not have the capacity to accept clothing donations. If you are interested in donating clothes and shoes, we encourage you to donate to St. Vincent de Paul Store at the address listed below. They generously donate vouchers to Caritas of Austin clients, allowing them to select what they need from the store.

St. Vincent de Paul Store

We welcome donations of new or gently used household items. Certain categories of donations must be new in their original packaging: toiletries, nonperishable food, toys, children's books, and bedding.

Welcome Home basket contains basic household items that a person might need when they walk into their new home for the first time after experiencing homelessness. We suggest filling a laundry basket with some of these items:

  • Towels and Wash Cloths
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Paper Towels

  • Dish Detergent
