and served as president of St. Edward’s University from 1984 to 1998.
Hayes, who recently announced her retirement from the Seton Family of
Hospitals, oversaw eight Central Texas hospitals, three clinics for
low-income families and AISD’s school nursing program. At St. Edward’s
University, she was the first woman and second lay person to lead the
liberal arts institution.
Former Austin mayor and recently elected state senator Kirk Watson will serve as master of ceremonies,
and Council Member Betty Dunkerley is among scheduled guest speakers.

Kozmetsky are serving as event co-chairs, and Community Advisory Board
