Paul Carrozza, who is Honorary Chair of the tournament, will be honored at the tribute dinner and auction on May 30. Carrozza is CEO of RunTex. The double shotgun tourney is scheduled for May 31.

Mayor Will Wynn, Cactus Pryor, Darrell Royal, Jody Conradt, Chris Plonsky and Roosevelt Leaks are among guests scheduled to attend the two-day event.

Last year’s tournament raised over $157,000 to help families in need—$29,000 more than the previous year—and boasted over 260 players. The Caritas Celebrity Golf Classic is the nonprofit’s second-largest annual fundraiser after the Harvey Penick Award Dinner in November.

Since 1964, Caritas has assisted with basic needs such as food, rent and utilities and helped clients learn the skills they need to gain self-sufficiency. This year, Caritas will serve over 20,000 adults and children as Travis County’s largest source of non-governmental assistance. “Caritas” is from the Latin word for love, and in this spirit, anyone with a legitimate need is eligible to receive help.
