Four Seasons Hotel Cooks for Caritas Community Kitchen

What: Renowned Four Seasons Hotel Chef Elmar Prambs and a team of volunteers will donate their time and talents to cook and serve a mouthwatering meal for the Caritas Community Kitchen.

Prambs and volunteers will serve a hot, delicious meal of meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, soup, rolls and dessert for over 450 lunchtime diners in the Caritas Community Kitchen.

Prambs, who is the legendary executive chef of The Café at the Four Seasons, has won numerous accolades. The Café was named the "#1 Restaurant in Central Texas" by the Austin American-Statesman and awarded four stars by Mobil Travel Guide.

For over 40 years, Caritas has assisted with basic needs such as rent, food and utilities in times of financial crisis and has operated a community kitchen and food pantry that served over 90,000 meals last year. This year more than 15,000 Travis County adults and children will benefit from Caritas’ programs.

When: Wednesday, February 9, Set-up at 10:30 a.m., Lunch served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Since 1964, Caritas has been an integral part of the Austin community’s human services network and Travis County’s largest non-governmental source of assistance. “Caritas” is from the Latin word for love, and in this spirit anyone with a legitimate need is eligible to receive help.
