CARITAS OF AUSTIN RECEIVES DONATION
OF 168 GIFT CARDS FROM QUERENCIA AT BARTON CREEK
Retirement Resort's Holiday
Gift to Benefit Single Mothers
(Austin, Texas) – Caritas of Austin was presented
with a $2,500 check from Querencia at Barton Creek on December 6, 2005.
The donation will underwrite 168 gift cards, representing the 168
families that will make their homes at Querencia at Barton Creek. The
gift cards will be given to the social service agency’s single mother
clients so that they can purchase holiday gifts.
Former University of Texas football coach Darrell
Royal and his wife Edith, future residents of Querencia, were on hand to
present the check.
“Caritas is delighted to receive such a generous
gift for our clients,” says Beth Atherton, executive director of
Caritas. “Many of the families that we serve are struggling to make ends
meet, and Querencia’s donation will help spread holiday cheer to those
families.”
Querencia at Barton
Creek will be a premier 501(c)(3) not-for-profit life care retirement
resort located at Barton Creek Boulevard and Chalk Knoll Drive in
Austin, Texas, less than a mile from Barton Creek Resort & Club. The

including 10 villas, on 38 acres. Residences are available in one-,
two-, and three-bedroom floor plans ranging in size from 830 square feet
to more than 2,000 square feet. The health services center will include
assisted living suites in alcove and one-bedroom designs; memory support
suites; and private skilled nursing rooms.
